A renowned abstract landscape painter, tutees of her exclusive workshops and classes will be well aware of the full extent of her talent. The principles of graphics, modernism, collage, portraiture (to name but a few), can all be seen in the fullness of her oeuvre - for which she may not be so readily recognised.
Gardiner is the personification of all that is good in Scottish art - ebullient, creative, enthusiastic, gregarious and overridingly positive, the latter being an essential quality in these current economic times. But she knows her own mind too and seeks her quiet space, finding solace in her craft. As she commented recently, "I can't wait to get up in the morning to be back at my easel!" She has exhibited extensively across the land - and is collected globally!
Gardiner is an inspiration and Bank Street Gallery takes this opportunity to applaud her.
The show runs from Friday 12th August, 2011 to Friday 23rd September, 2011
The Gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 1pm-4pm
